WCOL Update (9th April 2019)

ICDE World Conference Update – 9th April 2019

In this World Conference update we are pleased to report that by April 1st we had received over 400 paper submissions. This is an excellent response this far out from the conference and confirms why you need to be in Dublin in November to engage with many of the leaders in the field and help shape the future of online education. Our international peer review panel has already approved many of the 400+ paper submissions. You can expect to hear from us shortly if you are still waiting to hear the outcome of your submission.

The good news is that after being inundated with requests for an extension to the submission date we have decided to keep the call for papers open until midnight (GMT) on Friday 3rd May. As previously indicated, however, unless there are special circumstances the extended date does not include the submission of Full Papers due to time required to prepare and review the work. Nevertheless, you can still submit abstracts for Concise Papers, Lightening Talks and Digital Posters to help contribute to the conversations in Dublin. If you have any question about late paper submissions, then please contact Professor Mark Brown, ICDE World Conference Chair: mark.brown@dcu.ie

On other conference news please note the five “Learning Transformation Scholarships” available to support doctoral candidates and/or delegates from developing countries to attend this year’s ICDE World Conference. The closing date for applications is Friday 3rd May.

In this next conference update we plan to share further news about our line up of international plenary speakers along with information about the major sponsors of this year’s event. Our Platinum and three Gold-level sponsors have already been secured but please do not hesitate to contact us if your institution or organization would like to support the ICDE World Conference.
