ICDE Side Meetings

The side meetings as promised and approx. numbers for the 28TH ICDE World Conference:

  • Consultative Committee: approx 10-15 pple
  • Presidents Meeting: approx. 60
  • OER Advocacy Committee and ICDE OER Chairs: approx. 20
  • Quality Network approx: 10

There will be more meetings which will need to be organised but these will be smaller. Last year there were about 20 separate side meetings.

Usually ICDE is allocated a room that can accommodate about 20- 30 people so that we can set meetings consecutively one after the other without having to ask the host of the conference help find rooms for each meeting. The meeting room usually has wifi, printer, screen and projector. ICDE sorts out the catering for the room and also pays for printing costs.

The Presidents Meeting is the one that would need more space. We would require a room that can accommodate about 60. ICDE will of course schedule the Presidents meeting that suits the conference programme. You just need to indicate when you feel would be a good time.

Morten and I will start looking into the finances of the last conferences and hopefully come back to you with a more precise idea of sponsorship.

Best regards
